Museum of Mining in Harrachov
If you visit
Harrachov and think that you have seen enough mountains and would enjoy a bit of culture, entertainment and
information, you can visit the exposition of the the Mining Museum, which
includes a 450 m long mine adit that has been opened to the public
The visit of the mine adit with a guide lasts one hour and you have to wear a protective coat and a helmet. The ground is even with a gravel surface. In one group can be maximum 20 people.
The restored mining tradition of Harrachov is attractive for all age groups and can be seen at any time of the year, because the museum is heated and the temperature in the adit stays constant all the year round.
The Mining Museum and the mining adit are open Wednesday to Sunday between 10:00 and 17:00. You can find the museum in Harrachov opposite the central car park behind the bus terminal, after five minutes walking on an asphalt road turning right into the premises of ADOS CZ a.s.
